They also explain about Treacle - an annual partnership which promotes safety during the Halloween and Bonfire Night season.   • Way to sterotype using a hoodie. ANYbody can be an idiot, not just young lads wearing trackies and hoodies.

  • Education is a good idea instead of saying "no" - show the consequences, but do not reward bad behaviour as other police areas seem to. I also would prefer police not to encourage people to go knocking on doors (trick or treat) as this scares a lot of older people. It is not always young children, it is often out of control teenagers using it as an excuse for begging and causing trouble. Please don't encourage this sort of behaviour unless you're going to take reports seriously if people call.
