@Relief26 Well, there's no need to throw it out, just because discs are getting scarce. The discs you have still work and it would be kinda stupid to drop good money into that same pit all over again.
For me, the deciding point between the two was when I noticed just how many different manufacturers were coming out with Blu-ray players, all the while the HD-DVD players were a one-horse race; Toshiba. That kind of lack of competition is never a good thing.

Yea, hell, now is a good time for HD-DVD. They have the same PQ quality as Blu-ray and at a fraction of the price. I have an HD-DVD player and I use it to upgrade my DVDs to HD for less than $10 a disc. Also if you have a warner bros disc, for another $5 you can (if available) through the Red2blu program get the blu-ray when it comes out.

That's totally gay. I advise keeping your HD DVDs and buying an HD-DVD/Blu Ray combi player.

I still use my hd dvd player. I am not rebuying those same movies on Blu-Ray thats a waste of money. Whats wierd about me is I actualy bought in to Blu-ray first then got a Hd dvd player during the November Walmart sale thinking that since the format war was still going to go one that i may as well do a cheap hd dvd player lol.
