Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Adm. Mike Mullen speaks in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee in support of President Obama and Sec. Robert Gates' review of Don't Ask Don't Tell, saying, "It is my personal belief that allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly would be the right thing to do."

  • Homosexuality is not a choice. Do you think I choose to be different? Do you think I choose to be rejected by my family? Do you think I choose to get picked on at school? Do you think I choose to get beat up by skinheads and thugs? Do you think I choose to get discharged from the military because I wanted a guy instead of a girl? Do you think I choose to be different? Do you think I choose to be alienated? Still today, homosexuals are debated about as if we're inhuman. It's not a choice.

  • Here we go. Quoting Bible quotes as if they are relevant to the discussion. You have the freedom to believe anything you want dude. But our Constitution prevents you from imposing your beliefs on others. Sorry!

  • @huskie767 General Pace retracted his 2007 comments and Admiral Mullen said that repealing DADT would be the "right thing to do", not homosexuality. The JCS Chairman in this video talked about honor and integrity something you obviously lack if you have to mislead and take the Admiral's words out of context to make your point.

  • @FourSeasonsReady Poor victim again , If I chose to go fuck another guys wife , its not by choice its by desire ...PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME ....I CANT STOP ....OOOHHHH

  • Funny, don't ask, don't tell has been history now for almost a month, since September 20th. All those who made these doomsday predictions seem to have been proven wrong. Our military appears to have remained perfectly in tact. Anyone care to comment?

  • Peter Pace "......homosexuality is immoral...." Mike Mullen ".....I've been serving with homosexuals my whole career........it's the right thing to do...." Normalizing the abnormal. We are so f----ked!

  • @pspmichael please cite support for your statement -- "...Once again Congress went AGAINST the will of the people. The MAJORITY!" (perhaps in the form of an official study, poll, vote.)

  • will Mike Mullen commit suicide in a manner reminiscent of Mike Boorda?

  • @Luvcoffey I have no idea what that even means. But, with DADT, the DT part keeps the issue out of the equation. Since writing that, I've learned that the Marine Corps isn't like it used to be and our young men and women don't have to use communal showers. The only issue left is not those who are currently serving, but those who will come later and to make a name for themself. For the 1 who said majority spoke, check again. Once again Congress went AGAINST the will of the people. The MAJORITY!

  • @pspmichael do you hold that no kinsey 1 - 6 ever showered with you ?

  • @scuba36fun it's ok if you're grouchy and annoyed with your life to say things like that.

  • "No matter how I look at the issue, I cannot escape being troubled by the fact that we have in place a policy which forces young men and women to lie about who they are in order to defend their fellow citizens."

    That is beautiful!
