  • A full WRX swap isn't 2 grand. It's along the neighborhood of $4k/$5k for a good clean swap w/initial tuning. Even if you turbo a 2.2 block, you would still be down on time compared to an EG33, which just drops right in & bolts right up. You'd just need to figure out the wiring. You're also not getting the potential of the EG33, which is based off of the 2.2 that you have mentioned. This engine is a superior swap compared to an EJ205 swap or EJ22 build.

  • You can use 96 SVX wiring in an OBD1 EG33. Just have to change about 2 or 3 sensors & that's it. Good to go.
