Grey's Anatomy Parallels: A Study of Owen and Cristina---5.12 vs. 6.12

I thought about the similarities in these two scenes with O/C. In 5.12 we had Owen showing up to their date late and drunk and ending up in Cristina's shower with tragic recollections of his time in Iraq. In 6.12 we have Owen showing up at Cristina's after finding out from Teddy that she offered him to her if Teddy will stay at SGH. I think these scenes are very similar and also demonstrate how much this couple has changed, from Cristina being the strong one, to Owen now standing up for their relationship when Cristina's at a weak point. Thanks for the nice comments :) Did you notice in the first clip Owen's saying "You deserve better than this, I'll make it up to you" Then in the second he tells her that "We matter. You don't get to toss me aside. I won't let you" I think he made good on his promise :)

Oh how prophetic Owen was - telling Cristina that people matter and calling her on the fact that she thought she knew what the important things were when she really didn't have a clue. So nice to look back given all that has occurred since the s6 ender and game changer. Just another reminder of why Kevin McKidd and Sandra Oh - DESERVE EMMYS!

Great video! I love how you guys always analyze these videos! In both scenes Owen shows up from had previously been drinking. When you drink your true feellings always come out.
