Almost better than the original ! But we always like the original better because we're neuro-chemically more susceptible to deeper audio memory imprints when pubescent, especially when drugs are involved. See outrageous success of, say, Darkside of the mu-mu which was often originally listened to drugged and young. Get it ! ? 10 gazillion in total world-market sales ? Okay, I looked it up- most of the results say, "Dad."

Plus- look at his mouth when he says the word- clearly a "d" at the beginning and end of the word. Sounds like a "d", too. Not to mention the vowel in between, if you have any sense of his accent at all.

Finally, it makes sense in context. The narrator is a spoiled American brat in his 20s who thinks he can do anything with anyone, anywhere, and his powerful father will fix it all for him.
