@iwolfman37 Fake or real, the Beats are utter crap for the money you pay. Their audio quality rivals that of $50 headphones, no joke. Do you need the proof? I've got it. If you think paying $300 for $50 sound quality is totally worth it...then your logic makes little sense to me.

@yopeople70 Specifically because they are amazingly overpriced. They would be fine at maybe a third of their current price point.
As for durability, they do break fairly easily, in ways headphones do not normally break. Their construction is poor and creaky and need to be babied more than most other midrange headphones.

I know plenty of A-list engineers who reference with some flat headphones. The studio beats are more for production. As Monster has a version for Dj's wit the flip up ear phone & a pair that is consumer based for flatter listening. But a lot of my production peers will throw on their beats and in an hour or two plug in to the console and bang out what they created in the headphones.
