  • Should I remove the bluing from firearms before duracoating?

  • @TheChubbyKid

Bluing can be left on the firearm before DuraCoating since it works as a good base for DuraCoat. To prep a blued firearm, start by completely cleaning and degreasing the parts using our TruSrip Cleaner/Degreaser. Then rough up the surface of the parts with a maroon 3M ScotchBrite pad or 400-600 grit sandpaper, since blued parts tend to have polished surfaces. Make sure to remove any existing rust during this step. Once you're done with those steps you can go ahead and DuraCoat.

  • can i attach that air brush to and air compressor please respond

  • @GUNSnGEAR1

Yes, the airbrush comes with an adapter that allows you to attach it to an air compressor.

  • shipping with you guys was amazing, i ordered my duracoat 2 days ago and got it today!!!!!!! holy crap!!!!!!

  • I wish the video was in HD.

  • I recently bought the EZ finishing kit.And I have too say...It was anything but EASY...!LOL I had every single problem that could go wrong with the airbrush and propellant. After remedying all of the problems the bottle pops off of the airbrush spilling all over the place, and yes it was screwed on properly. Then the rubber washer was warped beyond belief and unusable.But...For what I did accomplish with a laundry list of problems...My weapons turned out AWESOME!!!! Professional looking even!

If you purchase the DuraCoat Shake 'N Spray Finishing Kit from us directly either over the phone (1-800-830-6677) or on our website, lauerweaponry(.com), the cost is $29.95 for the kit plus $12.52 for shipping for a total of $42.47. Plus, the kit has enough DuraCoat to finish 2 complete rifles or 4 handguns. So you would be able to complete a knife and then proceed to complete many more projects as well with the same kit.

  • @LCWDuraCoat + $13.95 shipping, so $43.90 to paint a knife!
