Most Lebanese don't agree on the identity of Lebanon. Arab or Not, Most feel Lebanon is an identity in its own right. Lebanese schools don't teach history pertaining to the Civil War (1975 - 1990) as there is not a common history as to what happened.

  • LEBANON IS ARABIC

  • The lebanese today are NOT fully arab, but the have some arab influence and DNA. So we should call them Phonecian-Arabs. Arab traders lived in lebanon before islam, they were dominant figures in Lebanon, and due to many intermarriges, almost no lebanese is fully phonician or fully Arab. All the lebanese who think lebanon is a pure arab country is in denial, but at the same time anny lebanese who thinks lebanon is a pure phonician country is also in denial. Lebanon gets the best of both worlds.

  • @gammah1 lol sudanese are not even real arabs to begin with. And another note arab is an ethnic group were lebanese, iraqis, syrians, and others are considered.

  • Be proud of your self and your roots , no matter what .

  • I accept to be an "arab" as long as people from the arabian world accepts to do some reforms towards democracy and liberty. The problem is that there is no liberty within Islam... living in a country based on freedom , I cannot agree to be assimilated with such a backward mentality.

It's Lebanon that should influence the arab world and not vice versa.

  • @gammah1 arab is a short term for arabian not arabic

  • for example someone from leb doesnt look like someone from sudan..or someone from yemen...but they all arabs..since they speak arabic. but u cant say arab is a race.

    that's my opinion.

anyway great video..it's good to know how people actually think and highlight this point.

  • great video..i actually heard about this topic many times...it's really hard to persoannly pick a side..cause we're kind of mixed culture...but i dont understand how people use the term " arab " as a race..it's not. arabic is a language..it discribs nothing but a language..there's nothing called arab looks or features..not all arabs(people who speak arabic) look the same..

  • i think this is a bit bias la2ano we see that the people that say that they are Arabic in school uniform or described as intellectuals where on the other hands people that say otherwise are normal average people

i would like to remind people that before Arabic language existed or before even Arabs existed Phoenicians brought the light to this world and we are descendent's of these people and the DNA proves it now off course over the year many people came and went but onlyonethingremains

    LEBANON

  • @siskobou walla dinak mich mhim ma hay2tak 3eyish kti bi lebnen wa2ta il dawle wil manasib ili fya tbatil m2asame dinyan si3ita ok ana ma3ak bas la7tel hal youm yiji majbour dinak ykoun min aham iza mich aham il oumour
