This advert was shown when I went to see Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom at the cinema back in '84, it was opening night and packed. The whole audience sang along with the jingle haha, great memories.
These jingles are another of my indelible TV memories. But...I used to know the formula behind them, but now I've forgotten an important detail.
The rhythm and meter are imitations of "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick", but the posh male voice is an imitation of some other novelty-ish hit from the late '70s or early '80s...I can't remember which one!
It's been stuck in my head for years too. The trouble is...I once figured out the formula behind this jingle, but now I've forgotten an important detail.

True - she was one of the singers - but the other was the late, great Nick Curtis ("Just One Cornetto"/"Goodnight Sweetheart.") Written and arranged by Graham Preskett ("Baker Street" etc., etc., etc.)
