Traxxas Stampede VXL LiPo Explosion

Here are some photos of my Stampede VXL. The MaxAmps LiPo battery exploded in my Stampede VXL. MaxAmps.com said it was a short in the battery and did not replace my Stampede allthough they did replace the pack. I had to foot the bill for a new truck. It will be the last MaxAmps.com battery I will ever buy. As you can see it got pretty melted.

Looked to be ok. You could have replaced the chassis and receiver and whatever else got burnt. The esc and motor looked from what I saw.

traxxas lipos are great why not stay with them when u guys use traxxas models =) 2200mah 7.4v 25c and 11.1v 1400mah 25c fits great in 1/16's if not 6800mah's+ they even have a 12800mah 7.4v lipo..! fit good in anything else. 25c continual and 50C Burst. i had them for a few they are great!never did i pull them out of my car and they where hot.and they in the range of 30-50$ very decent

@lundells1 cant belive u got a hole new truck????? u do know a replacement chassis is only $6.49, $10 for a generic reciver & about $2 to fix the esc lead... Thats all under $20!!!! Hummmmm i dont think r/c cars are for you if u dont like replacing easy parts or taking them apart. Sorry to say it, but its a fact, rc cars brake. ive done more damage to mine in high speed crashes
