I fell in love with him too, when my mother took me to see 'Ship of Fools', after school.
I was living abroad with my late husband, and moving into a new place, when I read in Time that he died. Oh, I cried!! Part of me died then.
Now, I have lost my husband, and nothing is fine anymore.

Simone and Oskar are my favorite all-time movie couple:

"You're my one innocent love"

He was brilliant in English, French and German. Most can't even be great in one. I want to perfect my German just so I can read his biography. Ok, maybe not just but I'm not gonna whine about material on him not being written in English.

of course he wasn't gay, quit trying to steal all the sexy, sensitive hetro men! he was married twice and also had a son with an american model. I know gays sometimes marry women, but twice? and having affairs and children with models.

Whether these actors are gay or straight is not important in the end! What's important is whether they are true to themselves and true to us because, they are tools of influencing the society!

Every time I see the movie, I think the exact same thing; that, in real life, he died in a similar way. :'(

It was impressive to learn that you knew Mr. Werner well enough to have such intimate knowledge of his personal life. Until I discovered you were born six years after his death.

Opinions are nice but they're much more impressive when a person actually has some knowledge to give them credence.
