Steve did not die!!! He was rescued by Wesker who escaped the explosion in Antarctica (Code Veronica) If you have played Darkside Chronicles, there is a monster in the Operation Javier Mission called "Jabberwock" i think, that looks exactly like the Steve monster. It means that Wesker was succesful to retrieve a sample from Steve's body and made a new monster. He's probably in Wesker's secret lab or something....
