@chucknorrisworshiper I NEVER said Hoke will be as bad as DickRod, and I do think U-M's defense will be better for having Hoke; he's saying all the right things. But that's all it is right now. Talk. I have no doubt he'll have Denard as prepared as possible, but that doesn't mean Denard will be inherently successful–this isn't Xbox 360. Hoke would be an idiot not to use Denard for draws and some option plays. But what about when he's forced to throw from the pocket on pro routes?
@thetrout27 lloyd actually was the one to tell him to leave. do you honestly think brady hoke will do as bad as RR? i'm asking you an honest question. like i've said before denard will NOT be a fish out of water. there will be option plays still in the new offense. also, he has taken snaps under center before in high school. brady hoke, unlike RR, will actually be fielding something that RR knew NOTHING about. it's called a DEFENSE!!!
@chucknorrisworshiper Pro Style players need speed to run the spread? I doubt that was the case for Ben Roelithsberger, Drew Stanton, Blaine Gabbert, Graham Harrell, or any of a host of other successful pro-style QBs in the spread. Correction: you need speed to run DickRod's spread. And Mallet left because A: he was homesick in Michigan, and B: came to U-M to play for championships not 5-7 'rebuilding' seasons.
@thetrout27 ask ryan mallett why he left michigan. pro-style players NEED speed to perform the spread. plus, hoke isn't exactly going to transition purely to a pro-style while robinson is still the starter. he is in no way like RR
@UMAnnArbor2 "It's much easier to switch from something to a pro style offense, than to switch from a prostyle offense to spread option." How do you know this, from your extensive knowledge as a football coach? Your wild generalizations and over simplifications of the circumstances lead me to believe either your are a child, and for that I can forgive you, or that you have never attended U-M. If you have, I am deeply disappointed for all of my friends from U-M who are real football fans.
@UMAnnArbor2 Oh wait, so now it has to be in the last ten years?! Wow, you're a joke, and a typical Michigan fan, "Yes, let's extend the parameters, use every excuse possible..." Fine, just to humor you, (we'll leave out Les Miles' teams, since he uses a bit of a hybrid offense and besides, U-M couldn't land him) here we go: Ohio State in '02, Saban's LSU Tigers in '03, USC in '04, and 'Bama in '09. Four out of ten? Not bad at all...
i think hoke has done very well michigan is 6-0 and 2-0 in the big ten

What does Alabama run? What about LSU? Out of the last 4 champions two have been prostyle.
