They look more like "orang asli", i.e. indeginious people of West Malaysia, not Malays. Orang asli were mostly atheists, many became Christian or Muslim.

can I make a small correction to this report - these are NOT Malays.
These are Orang Asli i.e. Indigenous people - the ones the current government target forced conversions since the christian missionaries have been working to provide housing food and education to these forgotten true sons of the earth (bumiputras).
This slight less then accurate reporting by refering to the Orang Asli as Malays is wrong - they are not Malays! they are of many tribes who originally pratice tribal faiths.
