Brief and basic description of what temporal lobe epilepsy is and what it feel like to have a temporal lobe seizure...and how it can mess up your day...my temper tantrum after having a bunch since tuesday.

Vat:I also got into a study with USC county.. that helped push me down the line...in the meantime while I was waiting I had no choice but to sell possessions....and do everything I could...I lost ALOT...I hope you can hang in there....

vat:I did not have insurance. (I do now) but here is what I did in the mean-time) I went to a county ER everytime I had symptoms and I was put on a waiting list to see a Neuro. Once you get into the out-patient clinic at a county ER you can apply for something called ORSA and it will cover your out-patient Neurology clinic visits at a county hospital. They will have Epileptologists there and Interns working to become epileptologists.

my suicidal ideation first began when I was around 9 years old due to being exposed to it by someone very close to me who commited suicide due to herself having Bipolar.

I have had suicidal ideation esp when i get alot of seizures during a short period of time....I dont really know how to induce mania other than coming off medicine, but then you risk seizures also... and the threat of depression, so for me its not worth it, im so afriad of making my seizures worse which is why I lashed out the way I did yesterday.

Hi do you have visual or audible hallucinations with your seizures? If so what do they look or sound like? Thanks for sharing : )

i think i may have epilepsy,but have not been tested for it yet,i have been having quite a lot of seizures,not sure what kind i remain conscious but my seizures can be very vilent very feace shacking and it last quite a long time,i get smaller ones as well,i been getting lots of hallucinations what went on for days,i always thought it was bipolar since i diagnosed it many years ago by a psychiatrist.

Wow, the fear thing. You hit it on the button perfectly when you described it as "supernatural" because when I get them it's never a good feeling. It's like panic attack-zilla. Good video and info. :) I wish you well. :)

I have several questions for you, first thank you for your posts! I have TLE was diagnosed with depression only for 10 years. I'm trying to get to an epileptologist, but insurance is getting in the way, are you on disability? Did you have an attorney help you out? I only have the partial seizures every so often, along with deja vu I see colors and feel I am at one with the universe, or I'm being born and dying at the same time. As well as headaches on the left side of my head and numbness.

@Interactivesystems Do have suicidal ideation also? Im not suicidal but i think about it all the time, like a tick in my mind... thoughts that i revert to... I think kill yourself, i think about the traffic, the train, the height etc.. i think its tle I hate what ive become.. I want the mania back.

oh your left sided as well..you have the same symptoms as me. i need mania, ive got depression im impulsive scattered. do you know how to induce mania? I really miss it I can only catch glimpses of it daydreaming now, ive been months without it. do you have any tips?
