  • @Auggie56 LOL it happens for gas vehicles and you don't even know it. i don't want you to do anything but open your eyes i guess. we all foot the bill for crap we use everyday. I would rather the government not hold hands with the oil company and give them more tax breaks and incentives to make us want and use more oil. Its all a profit and greed game. I know I would welcome a bigger incentive so i can purchase a Tesla Model S that fully electric fast, and better in every aspect than the VOLT

  • @Tamayo1980 You want me, to fund someone's purchase to buy a car ?

  • They should have named it "The Coal-t."

  • @Tamayo1980 Yeah it's a hybrid. Not the best solution. I know about the EV1, superb technology for the time, shame they sold out to the oil companies. The Tesla is the best option right now but the cost is prohibitive, they also need to make the batteries more reliable and cheaper. That will happen when they start selling more cars. I would like a model S, I'm just waiting for right hand drive and for the price to come down:-)

  • @slyman86 right lol, an some people don't even understand that this car ( EV-1) was around 14 years ago and preformed better than the Volt ever will. Now its Tesla turn with there Model S. just wish the government would give a bigger incentive to buy electric the way they did in order to help GM sell Hummers, suburbans and f3000

  • @slyman86 Yeah, the model s is a way better deal even though it may be about 12k more expensive, but my off set will be not buying gas for years, plus i don't even drive 25miles to work and if i feel the need to drive over 400-600 miles i will just fill up my gas car and take it since more than 75% of Americans have more than 2 vehicles, i wonder why hybrids are being stuffed down our thoughts instead of 100% electric vehicles i can charge @ home for FREE using the sun? Profits and greed

  • @chans686 totally wrong. when gas care were unleashed on America, there weren't a gas station on ever corner like it is now. an electric charging info structure is more than a doable task for Americans, we rather make excuses. Plus building charging stations can more than help the economy. Lastly, more than 75% of Americans have 2 cars, so why not make electric vehicles available for those who want to have gas car and a electric car that i can charge @ my house using the sun? i hate hybrids

  • @ianrkav LOL this cars sucks. EV-1 was a greener car which offered a greater distance (90 Miles in the gen 1's and 120 in gen 2's) traveled on a true electric motor. The EV-1 could be home charge, and a better performing car 14 years ago. I Deff. would not buy one of these because GM is a sell-out and i plan on investing my Dollars in a true America innovator and a socially responsible company Tesla.. Check out the Model S. may be a little more expensive, but it crushes the VOLT hands down

  • This car is very green if you're recharging off a home pv system. Not so green if you're recharging off the grid! Don't forget, LA had power cuts recently due to demand exceeding supply. What will happen if everyone is also recharging their cars off the grid too? The national grid will collapse that's what. Unless ofcourse, you build a lot more nuclear power stations! Currently the only viable option compared to coal or natural gas power stations, which also need oil!

  • GM will kill the volt as no one can afford it except the rich that can afford 5$ a gallon gasoline

then GM will sell the technology to the oil company like they did with the EV-1
