New Queens Quay LRT From Bathurst St east

March 25-09: A over view what Queens Quay will look like come 2012 when the existing 4 lane road with transit in the centre west of Bay St gets rebuilt 100% starting Fall 2010. The existing road will be come 3 lanes on the north side of transit Streetcar tracks with the tracking going east of Bay St To Parliament temporary loop before connecting to a new Cherry St. Bike/path trail south of transit. New Portal east of Yonge St with new enclosure over it as well the existing one. Streetcars will be able go east-west bypass Union Station or travel to it from both direction. Union Loop will be rebuilt also in phases. At this time, no decision has been made if QQ will be one way or 2 way, but it will be single lane traffic. EA is to go to Council in Aug for approval. Grass in the ROW excepted at crossing. Platforms will be 2.5-3m wide by 30m and accessibly to low floor new LRT's. Some on street parking only on the north side. Tour buses to be relocated else where.
