  • Mullets! Shit. What were we thinking?

    Marc Campbell, The Nails

  • I am not wearing a mullet. I was going for a Jimmy Swaggart look - redneck evangelical chic. I was barely conscious thru the making of this video. I'd been up all night snorting massive amounts of blow and drinking Jack Daniels. I don't know how I got thru the shoot. It lasted about 18 hours. When we were finished I celebrated with more blow and bourbon.

The video was directed by Francis Delia who directed two very cool porn films: Cafe Flesh and Nightdreams. I wrote the screenplay.

  • Sherman set the Wayback Machine to 1985 and put me on the North Shore of Mass watching V-66.

  • @MrMojomc Oh how I loved that song. It certainly looks like there was some partying involved in that video.

  • seriously rare shit! havent heard this since my old maxell chrome tape in 1984.

  • Is that Denny McDermott on drums? Whatever happened to him?

  • Killer hope they are still putting out music these days.

  • for the love of god, please explain to me what "a hot dog with a razor broke" means. i used to watch this video when it played on mtv when i was 14. then it disappeared. the album is no longer in print. until napster came around this song was a figment of my early teen memories. but i always remembered that line and wrote in on one of my high school textbook covers.
