So Much For My Happy Ending 30

A/N: Hmm, I guess I just needed some John and Kate Plus 8 and for one of my favorite fan fic authors to come back from vacation for an idea to come into my head :)

Recap: Nothing good :)

The next morning, Skye was over tired. Last night, the cops brought Mac home and she stayed up with her while she listened to how unfair parents were and how good Joe kissed. She probably only got around two hours of sleep. So when her alarm went off, she wanted to just crush it into a million pieces and go back to sleep. But she couldn't, so she groaned as she dragged herself out of her bed. She hated going to school every morning. The only thing she had to look forward to was Nick. As soon as he popped into her mind, she smiled. She walked to the bathroom, her smile and thoughts still with her. Mac was already in there with Lissa, doing their hair and make up.
"Well good morning." Lissa said, not taking her eyes off the mirror.
"Hi." Skye said groggily, tying her hair back so she could wash her face.
"Ready for another glorious day?"
"What's with the pep?" Skye asked cautiously, trying to rack her brain for any reason as to why Lissa was Miss Sunshine today.
"I just feel peppy today." she said. Her smile was not only clear on her face, but in her voice.
"I don't." Mac added, her voice sounding wore out.
"We all knew that already." Skye said. She grabbed a towel and started drying her face.
"Why does the world have to hate me so?" Mac whined. Skye and Lissa groaned.
"This girl needs help." Lissa said as she made her way out of the bathroom. Mac collapsed into the bathroom counter, light sobs escaping her mouth. Skye went over and pulled her into a hug.
"Mac, don't cry." she consoled.
"How can I not cry? I'm grounded and I can't see the guy I love." she said, dragging it out.
"But there's no reason to cry now. Let's get into Lissa's peppy mood, shall we?" Skye said cheerily, trying to copy Lissa's tone. Mac released herself from Skye.
"Just leave me to be." she groaned as she walked out. Skye sighed and finished getting ready, doing her usual style of straight hair and dark eye makeup with glossy lip gloss. She went down stairs with Mac and Lissa. They each grabbed a cereal bar and walked out the door, going to the bus stop to wait for the bus. Skye looked around. The weather was normal, feeling around high 70s. But as she stood in between Lissa and Mac, she felt like she was split in the middle. Half of her felt excited and jumpy, the other half depressed and moody. The bus soon arrived and they loaded on, grabbing their seat in the back. Skye popped in her ear phones, not wanting to deal with anyone. The bus made it's usual route until it finally stopped at the school. When she got off, Nick was already there, waiting for her, a big smile on his face.
"Am I missing something, because everyone seems to have pep in their step this morning." Skye said as she gave Nick a hug.
"Like who?" he asked, he smile never fading.
"Lissa. But of course, Mac is the poster child for depression pills."
"Yeah, Joe looked like he was going to murder someone last night." Skye just shook her head. Nick went on. "But anyway, I have some news for you." She smiled at how happy he seems, how excited.
"What the news my oh so cute boyfriend?"
"I talked to your old gymnastics coach." he started off. Skye's face dropped.
"Nick, you didn't..."
"But I did. AND, she agreed to put you back onto the team!" he said excitedly. Skye didn't seem as excited by the news as he was.
"Nick...why?" she asked. Her morning had suddenly turned into Mac's; falling apart.

Hmm, why's Skye so upset with that?
