http://www.trusera.com/health/collections/autism Our 16-year old daughter Chanel has autism. She is such a gift to us. In the almost 14 years since she was diagnosed, we have tried a lot of things. It is so important to be open to all different kinds of support and intervention. Its easy to doubt yourself, to defer to experts. Be willing to change what youre doing, to throw out old approaches, and to try new things. What we learned: Trust Your Instincts. You know your child best, what he or she is capable of and can achieve.

We all worked hard over many years. It was very, very difficult. Seeing Chanel now reminds us of how worthwhile all the effort was.
