your son should build his own buggy, i'm his age and i have started to build one-plan to complete by christmas 2010-teaches great skills that may be needed in the future. my dad told me i had to build one if i wanted one and it's actually turning out pretty good.

this is more like a go kart compared to a mini rail. mini rails employ long travel suspension and a 600 or more cc motor.

@boxingboxers. Call it what you want but be carefull how you catagorize it. I have since finished the project and it runs like a scalded cat! GSXR 750 motor with a modified rear suspension from the first video.(trailing arms and 930 CV's) I also incorporated air shifters and a full manual shift linkage with an ignition interrupt. the suspension travel isnt long , (approx 7" front and rear) but I dare you to find a "go-cart" that will accellerate 0 to 60 in about 4.5 seconds thru a corn field!!!

@drbaum1234 was just giving constructive critism. you said to give and advice or input. i was just saying what i felt from looking at a non completed project. description didn't have any info on motor size, or any other specs on it. if you would have more info in description i would have worded things differently. just trying to help people on here because if i posted some of my builds on here i would like to have input also.

@boxingboxers No malice intended in my reply. when I replace the video camera that is at the bottom of monroe res in Indiana (wifes jet ski oops!) I will repost with new video
