Well we know that aint true cos when the division was stronger Wladamir got KO'd 3 times by B class fighter of that era - Ross Purity, Corris Sanders and Lamont Brewster. Vitali in his prime got TKO'd in 6 rounds and his face ripped open by a 38 year old, over weight, unprepared, poorly conditioned, ring rust Lennox Lewis. Plus Vitali was unable to knockout Chris Byrd in 2000, and although Vitali was way ahead on the scorecards, he managed to injure his shoulder for his efforts.

I am not even sure it is true that the division has become so weak, it changed. How do we know? At some point we must consider it might be the case that Klitschkos make the others just LOOK so bad because they are fighting like in another dimension. I had the experience that it is mainly Americans who say the division sucks because they appear to be disappointed of their own heavyweights which are indeed very lame at the moment.

Some good ones rising in Eastern Europe and the UK though.

Lennox obviousley would have beaton old fat,Foreman on points anyway, and having beaton his WBC mandatory's in Mccall, Akinwande & Golota the previous year, and with the Holyfield fight not yet fixed due to Holy's obligations etc, this was the logical fight for Lennox - Tyson was banned, 29 year old Chicken Bowe flew off into retirement in 1996-who else do you suggest Lennox fight in March 1998 then? DONT CUT & PASTE!

There are those who seem to slag of Lennox Lewis, but he fought at World level when it was far stronger than it has been for the Klitshko's in their hey day and at present - and Vitali, although a decent heavyweight for the early to mid 00's hasn't fought the best guys in David Haye or Nicolay Valuev.
