VHS RIP Guitar god Vivian Campbell is best known for lending his licks to bands such as Whitesnake, Dio, and Def Leppard. In LEAD MASTER CLASS, the musician shares his axe-wielding skills with lessons that can teach players of all levels.
@padawan007 i never said that he didn't have any effects, i'm just saying they were primitive and not as sophisticated as the ones that came out over the years, especially in the late 70's and throughout the 80's. his musicianship would've definitely improved, but his sound and tone quality would've also gotten better too due to better technology in pedals.
@cyberwaffles dude hendrix used echoplex for delay and wah pedal and stuff he had pedals... and he could easily produce that sound what nowadays guitar players use..
@gbc77000 i agree. hendrix was ahead of his time. he produced killers solos and licks with significantly less powerful guitar equipment compared to most shredders in the late 70's and up. just imagine the kind of material hendrix could've produced if he stayed alive longer. especially with better equipment. most guitarists, notably shredders, use overdrive, delay, and a sort of other processed sounds with the aid of refined pedals. not hendrix in the 60's.
@gbc77000 Why would anyone compare an 80s Hard Rock player to a 60's Psychedelic Rock/Blues Player for starters? Secondly, if a million guys can do it, 1. Prove it. 2. Why didn't THEY play with the legend Dio? I can't believe how fucking stupid people who comment on here truly are. You Tube is ruined by this shit
there were no guitar vids before these so there was no basis for those making them to go off of
