Gravity measurements of Antarctic land ice mass

Measuring changes in Antarctic land ice mass has been a difficult process due to the ice sheet's size and complexity. However, over the last few years, the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellites have been able to comprehensively survey the entire ice sheet. Using measurements of time-variable gravity, Velicogna 2007 determined mass variations of the entire Antarctic ice sheet from 2002 to 2005. They found the overall mass of the ice sheet decreased significantly, at a rate of 152 ± 80 cubic kilometers of ice per year (equivalent to 0.4 ± 0.2 millimeters of global sea-level rise per year). Most of this mass loss came from the West Antarctic Ice Sheet. Figure 1 displays Antarctica's ice mass from 2002 to 2005 - the red crosses is their best estimate with the dotted line the linear trend.

The point I was trying to make was (I'm not too great with words), that if our weather is being geo-engineered to plunge most of Europe and parts of US into near little-ice age conditions, it would read like the synopsis from the film; The Day After Tomorrow'. and they do like to fore-shadow.

We have supposedly had the breaking down of the gulf stream, jet stream, loop-current. Next the rapid approach of the Ice-Age. The only redeeming feature is that the film does have a happy ending ... :)

@SCIFIguy64 By that logic I guess Mars is in an "Ice Age". No, untrue, an Ice Age is a period where most of the planet is covered in sheets of Ice. Not in an area where the Sun reaches the place for a short time and then for the rest of the time is in darkness. The Ice in the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere isn't nearly enough Ice to call it an Ice Age.

There preparing for the worst,building fall-out shelters there in Antarctica .Something bad is gonna happen soon,i knew it when they stopped most space programs.All i can say is good luck to them, i would rather dead then live in a fall-out shelter.
