  • Paul McCartney is probably the best and most listened to and loved singer of the last century! One my favorites: not only singer of the century but he plays almost every instrument extremely well! (I started on piano at age three and now I have taught myself to sing and play ALL musical instruments: 100+ originals, 400+ request list! If you want, please click on my screen name and check out some of my live music videos - one of Blackbird on 12 string - and let me know what you think. THANKS! )

  • When Crosby, Stills and Nash come to Glastonbury , wouldn't it be cool if Paul McCartney were to come on stage and sing this song... At least with Graham...????

  • GREATEST MAN ON EARTH

  • It doesn't get any better than this. I attended this concert and he played non-stop for almost 3 hours....

  • he is the (in my opinion) the most influential song writer since the sixties. of course, John Lennon helped write most of his songs, he continued on after the Beatles, and is the biggest dude in music. its unbelievable. gotta love him.

  • I know this is gonna sound crazy, but...he wrote the song. As far as I'm concerned, that means he can play it with a cigar-box banjo and it's legit.

  • omg you saw paul macCartney in person! omfg!!

  • Heh, belive it or not, Linda McCartney went to the high school that im in right now. Small world eh?

  • Hrmm before he used to play it with a lot of fat bass fingerpicking, and let a second guitarist do the melody. But he taught himself how to play it, like any guitarist picked it up from a course book.

Now it sounds very meagre. Compare this with the version here when he was with Wings. That has pace, soul and energy, this lacks everything, sorry to say.
