I went to see Dr Y at Breakspear last week and she has a totally different approach to Dr D. She wants to focus on healing my gut. I think she's probably right, but am still scared of pain returning. Going to give it my best shot.

  • Thanks for the comments Amanda! I am looking and feeling loads better on the Paleo diet and you can actually see the difference, which is a great incentive to continue. I have green tea without milk, although only first thing in the morning. After that it's decaff without milk the rest of the day :( . I need to go and watch some videos about the paleo diet to get some more ideas for meals. I'm doing just fine so far, but I think it'll be variety that enables me to keep going long term.

  • I just started the paleo too to see if it will help with stiffness. I was already very low gluten but now am leaving out all grains. And dairy. But I'm keeping my morning PG Tips tea! Just without milk. I am baking some buffalo meatballs and some vegetables now. It's not that hard! Just don't beat yourself up if you have some foods that aren't on the diet!
