I remember watching this race in its entirety, it was even more exciting than this video suggests!

shows how much more exciting the single class championship is than the Group A, whether it was the 2-Litre SuperTouring, BTC-Spec or Super2000, whats this only 3 one-on-ones for a whole season??

You mean part of the real cars? Thats how touring cars should be. The only similarities between a touring car and road car now is the shape of the body. They should be much closer to the road going version.
