Ah right, this part was only attached in the same DVD but it's surely not in 1976.

I think that the real problem is that here in Europe Jazz music has always been considered like Classic music. That's why the audience used to behave listening to Nina Simone just like they would do during a Beethoven symphony. It's particulary remarkable when Nina played in Europe in the 1960s.

This is the second video I see Nina trying to interact with the audience and it doesnt work.
First one I saw, it's Montreaux Jazz Festival Show, 1976. She almost begged for audience to interact with her. And the second one, it's this video.
Why? I am sure it isnt their skin color the problem. It's their behavior... their cultural rules... Nina was a like a foreigner in American. Not in Africa or here, in Brazil.

This is from 1990 and NOT from 1976 - but much later - still Montreux.
It is also one of the bonus tracks on the DVD by the name of Live at Montreux.
And the name of the song is Liberian Calypso.
The musicians: Al Schackman, music director, guitar/vibraphone; Paul Robinson, drums; Leopoldo F. Fleming, congas/percussion.
