  • I thought this was funny. In the scene were bodhidharma was asked to be go to the palace and the guys tried to pick him up and he would not move, the video stopped moving but the video time kept playing.....

  • Bodhidharma may have influenced Chinese martial arts but that doesn't mean that Kung Fu didn't exit before his arrival in China itself. Native Taoism philosophy contributed profoundly on most things(including martial arts).

  • The vid stopped at 03:35??

  • Dont compare varmakalai with kalaripayatu. Kalaripayatu used in battle only. Some guys were want to fool us. Kalari is a small part in varmakalai.

  • @unmaiyan varmakalai is a technique in kalaripayattu ... dont be a dumb doofer and coment after seeing 7am arivu :p

  • Everything derived from Dhanurveda.

  • Well said unmaiyan

  • Bodhidharma (போதிதர்மன்) is from 3rd son of great tamil pallava king skandavarma I from kanchipuram. tamilnadu. Pallava kings holds a title of varma because they were excellence in varmakalai.. which was then followed by pandya kings of tamilnadu. varmakalai means varma-brave,kalai-art. kalaraipayatu means kalari-battle, payattu-to teach. varmakalai is difficult than kalaripayatu. even 5 year kid can do kalaripayatu. but varmakalai you have to learn 10-12 years.
