  • This list is a great idea. But you can really see the American bias. Do you really think George Washington or Abraham Lincoln had any influence on China or India? C'mon

  • Martin Luther was not the first to translate the bible from Latin. The Church had already 18 translations of the Latin to German. Man I wish these people did better research.

  • Martin Luther was one of the biggest hypocrites ever. His reformation has given birth to 33000 schism within Christianity. He thought of "faith alone" when he was on the toilet. He added and took away from the bible. I don't understand why they would portray Martin as some "hero" when he laid the seed of chaos of is schism. It amazes me how they would say that the Priests were corrupt and then forget to mentioned how Martin was more corrupted then all of them and very arrogant. Do some research.

  • The only one of the top 3 who belongs in there is issac newton....

  • @gchlhockey Your ANTI-AMERICAN bias didn't notice the top 10 people on this list are all European!

  • @TheBanditKing2011 classical mechanics a la Newton have been replaced by quantum mechanics and the theory of relativity, and even now with the discovery of faster-than-light particles, Einstein's being challenged.

I just don't think Newton is really credible anymore. cool dude though.

  • I'm surprised #1 isn't Uncle Sam with the way this pathetic list was made.

  • #3: He challenged the then-biased priesthood and brought some credibility back to it. He also brought the church back to it proper role: the worship of God. Without him, we might still be trying to buy our way into heaven. A+

#2: I would have put Newton at #1 myself, because of his far-reaching influences in almost every field of science, astronomy and mathematics. There was almost nothing Newton didn't write about, and he was truly one of the great geniuses of all time. A++

  • As much bias as there is in this Biography program to Americans, I must applaud the fact that they got #3 right.

  • Yay!!! My first view of this video was 2 years ago, and I requested for a fix, now finally it somehow fixed itself.

  • Great list...but soooo many people missing! Kepler, Cervantes, Goeth, Kierkeguarde, Roger Bacon, dont forget Leibniz
