I could watch the first 40 seconds of this over and over as best manual in "spirit raising" by a professional musician I've seen on video. First, as everyday woman enters stage you can see the transformation to angelic messenger take place at :22 as she snaps her head "waking up" to the sublime divinity and then the quintessential Whitney crack in her voice (which YOU can't imitate) on "who do I LEAN on" at :29 , leaving an immense whole from which tears pour out and the Holy Spirit pours in.

Its because after you've sung a song a zillion times, you have to change it up just to keep up your own enthusiasm for the melody. For singers, its the creative genius of the vocal chord spontanious arrangement in performance, in an effort to give youself to your audience, although you have had to sing it so many times.

@dagll Thank you, I do 'realise' that she's a musician but the singing in this performance is very broken up and patchy, that's all I was trying to say.

'Normal'.. u said it in ur comment; it is normal- who wants normal?! She is a musician u do realize and is doing some great musical things in this performance. Usually people comment questioning why she doesn't sing like she does in her live performances on cd.. it would be far more exciting. Anyway, it just sounded like u were disappointed with her improvisational approach when I think it is entirely appropriate here.

Why would anyone pay to see someone sing something when they can hear the same exact version for free in your home??? Not tryna start anything, dats just my opinion.

We've all slipped up and have done something that wasnt pleasing to God. There is no big sin or little sin. The only difference is that our slip ups werent publicized. Just like he forgave us, he forgives up.
