It's Easter Sunday -- when Christians, whether Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox, celebrate the resurrection of Christ. In a far-flung corner of Romania, Lipovans, also called Old Believers, celebrate Orthodox Easter. The minority group fled persecution in Russia more than 300 years ago. Duration: 00:45.

  • Poor babushkas and children- they worship idolatry! Repent!come out from among them and be ye seperate says the Lord.

  • According to the 2002 Romanian census there are a total of 35,791 Lipovans in Romania, of whom 21,623 living in Dobruja.

  • @pccrazy1000 THIS IS NOT IN RUSSIA.... In the Danube Delta there is a great community of Russians... the so-called Lipovans..... they follow the julian calendar... they speak russian..... but this is Romania...
