I second dreamworksarvin. You don't need to give an introduction in English because your targeted audience are Tamils. I don't see this as showing off because, English is a language, not a knowledge. but, I rather see this as your inferiority complex.

I am from Sri Lanka, but am proud to say I am Tamil and to speak in Tamil.
