God cannot be appeased by any virtue of man.And of course the debate is lost on the fact the atonement is for God's satisfaction first. That makes it easy to see no man can satisfy by works or negate Christ's effect to God by sin.

Pac I eat my words, this is breaking news man, when is it taking place? What's the topic? I hope White debates eternal security and takes the affirmative, since few people know the issue, he usually comes out smelling of roses when he engages with his critics. Sungenis on the hand know what eternal security is all about and knows biblical languages well. Man this is going to be big, big news in the Catholic world. May God use this debate for Jesus to be glorified amongst His people!

Wow, are you serious? I eat my words. This should be breaking news on your website, unbelievable. I hope the debate is where White is taking the affirmative, as I think White is better attacking then defending his own position. Eternal Security that's where I think White and Sungenis need to debate on, White makes too many claims on Eternal Security and I think few people actually know the issues, so he comes out smelling like roses when he engages with his critics. Way to go BTF!

White just accepted a debate proposal.

White wont debate Sungenis anymore, he just takes pot shots on his radio station and website, this video shows why.

Greetings, just thought I'de give my two cents. I'm pentecostal holiness and we're more or less Weslyean Arminian in our theological views. So while I'm a protestant (and proud of it) I don't tend to agree with hardline Calvinists on alot of their views. Especially on the topics of Predestination and Preserverence of the Saints aka "Once Saved Always Saved". As such, I think both Mr. Sungenis and Mr. White have very good points here, but I have to disagree with Mr. White on "faith alone".
knowall 77, White is not condoning faith without works. The introducer and White himself said that works will come from believing faith. He mentions it in his opening statement. Therefore, if one is lazy pertaining to righteousness, they were not justified to begin with.

So, if that is so, can a person really know if he is saved? Anybody can do good works... even the non-Christian, so what mark of the Christian will indicate that these good works are proof of his salvation?

lol. i will make a quick assertion with little proof text. I won't write a paper for you. There are tonnes out there. A person knows they are saved when they recieve God's grace through faith which produces fruits of righteousness.

i have heard this before... but all this amounts to is simply, no absolute assurance of salvation, something which too many people claim to have.
