Wow! I love old AFI, but they totally butchered this song. Type in AFI Total Immortal Video in the search above to get the true version with all the energy that AFI used to have. Seriously, what the hell happened to them? Not trying to be a dick, but this is not the same band I grew up listening to.

When this song was recorded, and before that Davey would do a really heavy scream (especially in the album Black Sails in the Sunset).
Long story short, he ruined his voice in a way. He is not able to scream the way he used to, and it is painful for him to sing the songs before his voice wore out. This is an example of one of them.
Give credit to the guy for trying his best, and still making it sound good. That is why most of the songs now are with more singing, which still sounds amazing.
