A quick tour of an electric meat smoker. Very easy to use, and very efficient, an electric meat smoker is a great way to smoke meat and get great tasting results.

  • Does somebody knows about the capacity of the heater in funtion of smoker´s volumen? Thank

  • @MERAZOMIGUEL :: unfortunately I don' know those ratios. I've considered building my own electric smoker out of an old fridge, but that formula is consistently the point where that all breaks down. I have a feeling the best way to figure it out would simply be to start building and run a bunch of temperature tests. I'd guess you could also consult the manufacturer's guide for various heating elements out there. I'd bet that would be information they would know. Good luck!

  • I got a CookShack smoker over in January and there is nothing like using an electric smoker oven. Put in a pork shoulder at 11:00 PM and it's ready to eat at 4:00 PM the next day. Easy pulled pork! You can see my smoker on my pulled pork recipe video. Thanks for a great overview video!

  • Good idea you might not have to worry about cold or keeping the smoker at temp ,But what I did was put it in an old fridge no mess ,wind , all insulated no smoke loss works good stores wood chips from rain ETC.

  • Yeah, desert wind is GREAT! it adds to your video's authenticity.

  • Desert wind is not stupid :). BTW, very nice smoker, thank you for presentation. Now I understand the concept of using electricity to generate wood chips smoke via metal compartment. I have some cherry and apple wood I will use for smoking. I would like to find an electric smoker that could hold a large size turkey.
