A world-renowned scientist, and a dedicated family man struggling to accept his daughters death, Darwin is torn between his love for his deeply religious wife and his own growing belief in a world where God has no place. He finds himself caught in a battle between faith and reason, love and truth. This is the extraordinary story of Charles Darwin and how his master-work The Origin of Species came to light. It tells of a global revolution played out in the confines of a small English village; a passionate marriage torn apart by the most provocative idea in history evolution; and a theory saved from extinction by the logic of a child.
Charles Darwin is played by acclaimed British actor Paul Bettany ("The Da Vinci Code", "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World", "A Beautiful Mind", "Inkheart"), and his wife Emma Darwin is played by his real-life wife, Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly ("Blood Diamond", "A Beautiful Mind", "Requiem For a Dream", "The Day the Earth Stood Still"). Directed by Jon Amiel ("Entrapment", "Copycat", "Sommersby", "The Core") from a screenplay by John Collee ("Master and the Commander: The Far Side of the World", "Happy Feet"), CREATION is based upon Randal Keynes book, "Annies Box", about the life of his great great grandfather, Charles Darwin.
CREATION will open the 34th Toronto International Film Festival on September 10th, 2009.
Cast: Paul Bettany (Charles Darwin), Jennifer Connelly (Emma Darwin), Jeremy Northam (Reverend Innes), Toby Jones (Thomas Huxley), Benedict Cumberbatch (Joseph Hooker), Martha West (Annie Darwin), Jenny
Director: Jon Amiel; Writer: Randal Keynes

@TheAgentdrknite007 You failed at even giving a link to some creationist website. Give me the well credited, peer reviewed, major scientific institution that made this study. You can't do it. You know why? Because it doesn't exist. If it did then the rest of science would follow, but of course it hasn't as the vast majority of scientists accept evolution. It's hard to take someone who hates gays and doesn't accept an extremely well supported theory seriously.

@adam11mpls Mutation isn't logical calling me names won't change that. Now when you ready to grow up I'll be glad to listen to what ever you have to say.

@TheAgentdrknite007 And stop asking for my "personal opinion", opinions don't mean anything compared to facts, something you aren't too familiar with.

@TheAgentdrknite007 That wasn't fucking proof. You literally just said that a study was concluded for 100 fucking years, funded by 3 continents, and this disproved genetic mutation. No sources, no evidence, little detail. How stupid are you? Well, there was a study concluded by over 9000 scientists at least one hundred years ago, funded by top men. The study concluded that humans are in fact reptiles. Now fuck off you homophobic 12 year old.

@TheAgentdrknite007 One failed 100 year old study has nothing to do with whether evolution is true or not. Also, mutation does help organisms in some cases and there is evidence to support it. If you truly want to understand evolution and why it is currently the only accepted scientific theory, don't take all your information from creationist websites, which alter and misrepresent facts to support their flawed position.

@adam11mpls A nearly century old study that was funded by Asia, America and Eurpore. That was guaranteed to speed up the evolutionary possess and cause a remarkable step forward in the evolutionary theory. Decades of study and the results were any of the animals that DID have a genetic mutation were killed my the stronger more dominate species or could not reproduce any offspring therefore making evolution impossible. Now then *Your personal opinion on the matter?

Creation was a decent film but I really disliked the portrayal of Huxley. No offense to Toby Jones, he's a great actor, but his character was an old malignant God-hating dwarf. It was a caricature of the real Huxley, he deserved better.
I was hoping to see some interesting events like the debate in which Huxley openly defended Darwin's theory. The film turned out to be a melodrama about Darwin's family. It was great from that point of view but they should've left Huxley out of it.

@adam11mpls Fine, Look think about it evolution is through mutation right? Well, take this into consideration whether you like it of not Mutation doesn't help in anyway. Mutants either die out because that can not live in their natural habitat or their genetic mutation doesn't allow them to breed. Facts are fact you can't just cover your ears and Yell "YOUR IGNORANT!" and hope that it goes away OKAY?! Now what is your PERSONAL OPINION ON THE MATTER!?
