Mate, get a passport and travel the world and maybe one day you will find out who you are and where you live, because right now you are clearly lost in your little crystal castle.

@phaestor It sounds great! Unfortunately it does not work like this with most of politicians, nor in Colombia and neither anywhere else in the entire world! You might be living in a different world, in a very naive one! Also, the capital of a country does not strictly depends of tax payers... less in a natural resources rich country like Colombia. By the way, repression is not supported in any senses and this is what finally this mindless ignorant ex-vice-president of Colombia is promoting.
There are no free lunche!. Someone has to pay the personnel, utilities, etc. Ultimately the taxpayer will pay for it. Thus the question will be this. Do the 40 Million or so Colombian taxpayers want to finance student education or let the students pay for it themselves? To resolve this dilemma people elect their representatives and they push forward an agenda. Protests dont necessarily reflect the view of the general population. Cheers.

@phaestor First of all you don't have to generalize, the fact that the american think, doesn't mean that everybody has to think in the same way or will work in the same way in other countries, Colombia has one of the biggest problem in inequality in the world, and if you let the market fix the education problem it wil always excluide somebody(that would not be able to pay tuition), generating more inequality and violence and repeting again and again for the last 50 years.

@phaestor You're right there is no free lunch, but after that person graduate will give back the money with taxes, and provide development for the all society, so wouldn't pay himself the education? There is a big difference between spend and investment.
