We praise the people of Tung Nghia, Dalat for successfully running the 2011 Deo's Memorial Day. In the early year it was a day intended to celebrate The Deos Ancestors. But the event has gained more popularity not only in Vietnam but far away abroad due to their efforts to preserve and promote Thai's rich culture.
This short video features some spotlights of the 2011 Holiday. First, a Lion dance kicked off the ceremony, following by a Traditional Fan Dance (Xe Vi or Mua quat) ...at the end of the day The Lion King climbed up a 30 foot (9 meters) single pole to take the prize that he deserved. Of course, a Thai's holiday must have everybody team up for a traditional round dance...and good food and spirits as well.
