lol every time something catches on fire in my kitchen, we usually just throw it into the neighbors yard. let them deal with it.

Themasta: I think the idea is that said lady was disfigured by fire. I could be wrong, though.
If that's the case, kinda not cool to call her that.

I think he threw gasoline instead of water.
I know, the water will spread the fire and is a terrible idea, but come on...

@zev007 LMFAO,That made my whole daay and night

@hyean4 Throwing water on an oil fire splatters oil everywhere, covering the pan and anything else nearby in flaming oil.
The woman looks like she's a burn victim, implying she tried to put out an oil fire with water, and got seriously burned from it.
Basically, "Don't throw water on an oil fire. I did, and now my face is covered in burn scars. You don't want a burn-scarred face."

@1000Demons No she was born an amphibian hybrid that fights fire...

This happened to me before. I knew from watching discovery channel that the last thing you should do was to throw water in it, however, being in the situation itself really makes your mind blank and it made me throw water at it. Fortunately, I only had minor burns.

you can throw milk over the fire because my dad once and it worked

@jeffgordon524 Yes and you are right... Problem is: When people panic they tend to not think at all and end up like the lady at the end of this commercial...
Hence why the phrase "Don't Panic" is so true. When you keep calm, things like "not pouring water on grease" will be the first thought.
