View Filtered Lookup allows you to create a lookup column that points to a view of target list. In new or edit form items in dropdown list are filtered and sorted using the selected view. You may also add this lookup field to a content type and initiate it after you add it to each list.

Features

Filtered lookup provides to the SharePoint site, completely new field type and set of forms, which extends the standard lookup features: * items in lookup field type are filtered, depends on view defined on target list; * unlimited cross site scope linking to target list; * support for custom, non-standard set of portal permissions; * high toleration for undefined or faulty data model configuration; * support for high risk and strict permission environments: WSS_Minimal and WSS_Medium;

  • With this particular control it's not possible, as it does not support Ajax, but we are working on a new version - Ajax based which enables such behavior.

  • really kewl. Can you make the field dependent on a selection in a field prior to it? Maybe a field that passes the name of the view across?
