17th September 2010. A decent afternoon and evening at Runcorn with just 2 types of traction on show...Class 66 and Class 90.
66535 4L92 Ditton - Felixstowe southbound liner (No 86's today). (Still Image)
90019/90002 0L48 Crewe IEMD - Garston Yard light engines.
90002/90019 6L48 Garston - Dagenham southbound car carriers.
90049 4M81 Felixstowe - Ditton northbound liner. (Still Image)
90046 0Z71 Basford Hall - Ditton light engine. This replaced 90042 (0F71) which only made it half way from Crewe before returning back to Basford Hall with a problem.
90049 4L60 Garston - Felixstowe southbound liner.
90046 4L71 Ditton - Felixstowe southbound liner running just over an hour late.
66569 0K91 Basford Hall - Garston light engine (Again no 86's).
66577 4L95 Ditton - Felixstowe makes a brief stop while the driver replaced a faulty tail lamp.

  • 0:32 - bringing back memories of myself copping fellow NXEA machine 90004 at Acton Bridge last June... Is this possibly the second time that a 90 in NXEA colours has made it's presence felt in the North West?

Either way, an excellent cop! Thanks for that, and for sharing the rest of your usual excellent footage.

  • @theamateurbasher Thanks for the kind words. I've seen four over the last twelve months and missed at least two that I know of.

  • Any reason why NATEX 90 was there

  • @duffman82 Fresh out of Crewe IEMD after about 2 months receiving some sort of overhaul I would presume. I believe it worked as far as Wembley and came back on saturday morning with 6X41 Dagenham - Garston then light engine back to Crewe IEMD.

  • @nxec43 Sorry for the late reply been mega busy...of course you should upload it. I'll be looking forward to it.

  • @nxec43 Cheers m8. I use a Panasonic Lumix FZ38, doubles up as a half decent camera for stills though the stills in this vid are from a Nikon D90. Also have you uploaded your Carlisle trip yet?
