This video shows (only) the opening and closing of an Oryoki set. I led Oryoki practice at the Northwest Dathun on Vancouver Island for three years.

  • I did the zen in old times. In meal at that time, even pickles were treats. Reflect on life from which an important, luxurious life of food is requested. It is likely to go again if there is a chance.

  • I went japanese temple several times, but oryoki is always difficalt for me. This video was quite useful for correct action and beautiful performance !
