This was an entry into a green energy contest. I've still got a ways to go, but the experimentation is underway. It started as a prop for a short film, until it worked.
You did just see it. It's not like it's hard to do electrolysis with a lantern battery. The only problem this guy left out is that it takes considerably more energy to liberate the hydrogen gas than can be recovered by burning said gas. Most of the conversion is turned into waste heat, very inefficient.

It's not the seperation in water of oxygen and hydrogen atoms
