Can't wait to see it. As for the brakes, how about a brake swap to some disk brakes in back along with some Brembo pads and a large diameter disk in front all drilled for performance. Something you would find in a high performance race car or circuit race car. Maybe even some slicks in the back. I doubt you'll need a drag bar or a chute in the back but the custom suspension and custom brake system wouldn't hurt.

@WillisKern - The old engine harness got tosed, I used a 2g engine harness, stripped it down to the essentials, lengthened and shorted wires as needed since some components have been relocated or moved slightly, and tied it into the chassis harness for power, cranking signal, etc.

what all did you have to do with the ecu and wiring harness i have a 96 im looking to put a 4g63 into

@RichRusso4218 - I believe you are correct, it was a 2.6. (g54b)
Have you made any changes to this truck and what kind of ETs are you getting?

@Fatyaqui - Not yet, but I'm starting the assembly of the 2,3 liter block this week. I'm expecting 11s on the same 50 trim turbo if it leaves under boost. The brakes don't hold very well though, so we'll see what happens, hopefully by June or so.

did you have to modify anything to fit the 4g63 head on the g54b block? i have a plymouth arrow pickup with the g54 and i really wanna swap it to the 4g head i jus want to know what im getting into before i do it.. also what parts did you use in the 4g54 to get the rotating assembly to handle that much boost?

@1talontd - It's a 4g63 block and head. The stock motor is long gone. This year it's getting a 2.3 liter 4g63. At least I hope so, I've been sitting on the motor for a couple years and need to get it in the truck. That should get it off the line under boost. :o)

@kjewer1 so i take it that is the short block from the eclipses and evos? what motor mounts did you have to use or did you have to fabricate them? and do you have any tips for someone attempting the same build.. what kinda problems did you run into?

@1talontd - Yes that's the block. I made two different versions of the motor mounts, and I'll be redoing them again (with bushings this time). There are some pics on my really outdated site (POSracing). For lots of tips on doing this, a great resource is the HRCS forums at hotrodcoffeeshop
