A little slice of Epcot in a Minnesota back yard. This is a fireworks/light show using music from Epcot's nightly show. We added a bunch of synchronized Christmas lights wrapped around trees and poles to augment the fireworks. The firework ignition was also synchronized using nichrome wire and a homemade controller run from a computer...mini-Epcot style automation.

  • Hey how much did it cost you guys to put this together? I'm trying top find light-O-rama products for cheap but its hard.

  • My brother has two lightorama boxes and quite a bit of stuff, I'm sure over $1000.

  • Im still in amazed how talented your family is. Can I be part of your family>?? lol

  • Hey thanks! We had a lot of fun doing it, and have some fun plans for 2009 :)

  • amazing. illuminations is my favorite and this is such a creative and imaginative way of looking at it. the timing on the lights and the fireworks was perfect. i got to hear it every night for a year when i worked at epcot, and your timing is just perfect. i adored it. congrats on a fabulous job.

  • Thank you!! We are also big fans of Illuminations ROE, so it was alot of fun doing a small tribute to it.

  • Wonderful!

  • You're very good at this.

I'd love to see what you'd be able to do if you had a slightly bigger budget!

  • That would have been useful to celebrate 4th of July and New Years.

  • haha i felt like i was really there.

    too cute!!!

all you need now is the monorail and its like living with epcot in your backyard!

  • Great job with the fireworks and the lights it went with the music perfectly. I also like the song that you used from the original Mexican boat ride. Oh how I miss that.
