Part 28 - Chapter 1, Stanza 27-41 (an brief overview of these stanzas). http://www.crystalclarity.com/product.php?code=BEBPB The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita Explained by Paramhansa Yogananda as remembered by his disciple, Swami Kriyananda. This book shares the profound insights of Paramhansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi, as remembered by one of his few remaining direct disciples, Swami Kriyananda.
This revelation of India's best-loved scripture approaches it from an entirely fresh perspective, showing its deep allegorical meaning and also its down-to-earth practicality. The themes presented are universal: how to achieve victory in life in union with the divine; how to prepare for life's "final exam," death, and what happens afterward; how to triumph over all pain and suffering.
Swami Kriyananda worked with Paramhansa Yogananda in 1950 while the Master completed his commentary of the Bhagavad Gita. At that time Yogananda commissioned him to disseminate his teachings world-wide. Kriyananda has in his lifetime lectured, taught, and written over one hundred books based on Yogananda's teachings.
The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita is available from Crystal Clarity Publishers.

Once again, thank you, Wise One. My over reasoning mind is always trying to (often successfuly) trick me into avoiding the practice my Heart knows I need. Your teachings help me to maintain awareness of this. "Blessed is he that knows the thief will come, for that one can prepare his house" - Jesus Christ (I believe)

I love what Swami Kriyananda says at the end, "When you know in your heart, follow that feeling. It will lead you aright."

Always right to the point, Kriyananda makes it so simple, even I sorta understand. Check out the last minute or so if your listening time is short.
I also liked it about a third in where Swami says, 'If ya wanta get to Heaven just knock on the door and say 'my house is your house.'
I can almost hear God saying 'come on in, I got plenty of room.'

Though the argument here regarding the color green would not meet the requirements of a "rational" argument in a philosophy classroom, I get the drift: Sometimes its necessary to just follow the heart. While it may sometimes be necessary to "drop everything" and go somewhere to advance one's evolution and progress, in the final analysis, it's not really necessary to go anywhere to find Spirit, because it's always Here and Now.
