  • The calorie restriction is only half the concept, you have to also have adequate intake of nutrients.

It is increasing the value of the calories which you consume, not simply cutting them.

  • You guys did a great job on the script for this video: MAY increase life span, WILL increase parameters of health. So man e-books ads out there are full of false too good to be true statements, but this is a really good and accurate advertisement. I think I will buy a copy.

  • Decades of research and reproducible scientific tests on animals vs. a guy on YouTube that goes by the monicker QuantumQuacks. You decide.

  • @ShelterDogs Theres a few of them...resverterol is one loungevinex another (which did have human trials)... then theres anything at all that stops calories being absorbed... I doubt these things do any more than halt calories from being used in metabolism.... The youth drug is a little ways off yets

  • @MumblingMickey Okay, so which "pill" were you referring to then in your previous comment?

  • @ShelterDogs well the pill form of resveratrol is mostly useless... since only 5% of the drug actaully ends up absorbed... and nobody will agree to inject themselves twice daily for 20 years... (go figure)

But if it can be trialed successfully on humans then I'm all for it... as it turns out though human physiology gets in the way....as glaxo are finding out!

  • @MumblingMickey The pill you are referring to... is it resveratrol?

  • @ShelterDogs Yeah but he can easily offset that against sales of his book, explaining how to fill those cups with his blueberries etc.

Yeah a couple of bucks in the bank would be what you need... or a pill that does exactly what CR does without the need to resort to starvation.

Which is in trials right now :)

  • Stonewall, thanks for alerting me back to this video five months later. Rereading my question, I know that I was serious when I asked that. I wanted some calorie restriction dieters to reply comment on how much they spend each day on food. I really was curious. Instead, I got thumbed down twice. That's not very helpful.

In any case, you are right in what you are suggesting. I 100% agree that eating unhealthy food will cost one a lot more money than eating healthy.

  • How much does it cost to go on calorie restriction diet? Joe Cordell, the guy on CR that was on Oprah, says eats 2 cups of organic wild blueberries a day. That alone right there is going to cost him $4 dollars. Now add on to that raspberries, walnuts etc. This is just for his breakfast. I imagine it cost almost $10 for his breakfast.

  • What was your weight before you started, and what is your weight now?
