The actual cassette player in action. Requiring 3 "C" batteries, it has four buttons: play, fast forward, stop and eject. It also has a volume knob on its left leg. By the way, the cassette is "The Transformers: When Continents Collide" by Kids Stuff, released in 1985.

  • they have soundwave mp3 players on ebay they are like 60.00 they even transform too

  • @AIRBORNJUGGALO Maybe so but can they play 8-track cassettes? I didn't think so.

  • What tape are you playing in the unit?

  • It's in the video description.

  • They need to make a transformable mp3 player of soundwave and market it. Same goes for Blaster too.

  • They already have. Google for Soundwave mp3 player. Or even better, search youtube for it. I bought it and it's very neat, except for the lack of a randomizer function.

  • Whats a casete player?

  • I just want a regular cassete player that looks like Sounwave in tapedeck mode. But that sadly doesn't exist, to my knowledge. Still, that is one badass cassete player. I think I actually saw that in a collectors shop. I regret not buying it.

  • Looks interesting? where can i buy one?

  • @MrVintageLover Not really, I've seen and used plenty of tape recorders that use 4 C cells, it just means this transformers toy may be a little big. The good news is that if you use the toy in moderation the batteries will most likely last a long time, I suspect that if it used AA batteries for instance, they wouldn't last for quite as long.

  • @duh869

Obviously size wasn't a concern. They could have made this alot smaller by making it a micro cassette player. Actually thats what the realy soundwave was supposed to look like. A micro cassette player.

  • three C batteries? isnt that a little overkill?

  • LOL! 3 C batteries, geez.
